Die lifters allow the easy movement of dies, fixtures, tools, and pallets. They are mounted in
T-slots or U-slots. The lifters in down position let the die rest on a bolster plate.
When they are lifted up, the die can be moved to a different place.

TH hydraulic ball die lifters are used for multidirectional die positioning.
3500 psi of hydraulic pressure applied by hand or power pump raises the lifter
with ball inserts and lifts the die off the bolster. When the die is located,
the pressure is released and the lifters sink into the bolster.
If hydraulic clamping is located, the hydraulic die lifter circuit is interlocked with the bolster
clamping circuit to prevent damage. TH type die lifers are built to fit into DIN or JIC standard
T-slots, and can also be designed for other nonstandard slots. If no T-slots are available, rectangular
slots can be milled to fit the die lifters.
Hydraulic cam roller die lifters, type RTH, are used with heavy dies to achieve easy manual or powered
die positioning. The rollers also help prevent damage to the dies from sliding the die on the bolster.
It is recommended to lay out the total load capacity of the die lifters at about 20 to 30% more than the weight
of the heaviest die. Hydraulic pressure applied by pump raises the complete lifter,
so that cam rollers lift the die over the bolster. When the die is located,
the pressure is released and the die lifter sink into the bolster. If the system includes hydraulic clamps,
both circuits are interlaced, to prevent damage. Standard and custom design are available.
Spring loaded ball die lifters are used for multidirectional die positioning.
The springs raise the balls and lift the die off the bolster.
By clamping the die down, the springs are compressed and the lifters are pressed into the bolster.
Although TM lifters are built to fit standard T-slots, nonstandard sizes can be designed as well.
