WZS -Lever style clamp
This hydro mechanical clamp has a very low profile design. The clamp requires minimum space within the die,
as it sits outside of the die and requires only a square inch per clamp to accommodate the clamping lever on the
die shoe. The clamping height at the clamping location must be standardized.
The WZS clamps are usually used with T-slots to accommodate wide variety of die sizes.
The WZS-A version is provided with air cylinders to move clamps in and out of the clamping position automatically.

WZSX Cylinder style clamp
High clamping force in combination with a compact, light weight design are the main characteristics
of this type of clamp. This clamp is by far the most popular and has its application when:
- tools are used with U-slot for die clamps already in existence, or can be easily machined into die shoes, adaptor plates, parallels / raisers.
- limited space conditions inside the press, or the die, restrict the size of the clamps.
Six standard sizes are available to cover a wide range of required clamping forces.
The WZSX-A version is provided with air cylinders to move clamps into and out of the clamping position
automatically.

WZSL Ledge clamps
This type of die clamp is used exclusively with dies which have been standardized in die shoe and punch holder
sizes, and preferably with die segments no longer than approximately 40" left to right. This restriction in size is
mainly due to the fact that the farther the clamps are apart, the more deflection of the die due to striping
forces will occur. To use these clamps with larger dies, additional clamps must be installed in the center of the
die, or on the ends, to prevent deflection of the die. The ledge clamps are mounted on top of spacer blocks.
The hydraulic cylinders in the WZSL clamp act directly onto the clamping edge of the die.
The WZSL-R clamps are equipped with a hydraulically operated check valve,
which allows unclamping only if the additional hydraulic circuit is actuated together with releasing the pressure
in the clamping circuit. This ensures that even if the clamping circuit loses pressure due to a defect,
the check valve in each WZSL-R clamp retains full clamping pressure. Additionally, pressure switches in each
clamping circuit will shut down the press immediately if a pressure failure is detected.
